Help with pelvis, hip, leg & foot problems

Pain in the legs, such as with the pelvis, hip or ankle and foot can occur at any age for a number of reasons. The most common cause is from a sports injury. This is due to high impact and repetitive movement from the sports activity. A tendency for the patient to get tight calf muscles and the likelihood of ankle sprains.

An osteopath can assess what is causing your pain or discomfort. We can provide a full assessment and provide treatment and advice for all of the conditions above.

Treatment may include massage, joint mobilisation, stretching and advice on exercises to do at home. As well as treating the ankle and foot we may work on the hips, pelvis and back. Advice may also be given on strapping and footwear and podiatrist recommended if insoles or specialist foot supports are required. You may be referred to your GP if medication or further X-Rays or scans are required.

Please give us a call to discuss your lower body and leg problems either by completing an online form or calling 01422 375541.

An Osteopath can treat your pelvis to help correct alignment. This involves stretching, muscle release and manipulation. As well as looking at other areas which may be contributing to the problem such as the low back and hips.

The type of treatment suitable for leg pain or numbness depends on the cause of your symptoms. An Osteopath will assess your body allowing them to provide a working diagnosis. If needed you may be referred to your doctors for more tests and scans.

An Osteopath can assess what is causing pain in your foot. Treatment may include massage, joint mobilisation, stretching and advice on exercises to do at home.

An Osteopath is highly trained to diagnose the exact location of nerve irritation. The good news is Osteopathy can help release the nerve, release the pressure and reduce the pain.
