Help with neck pain, headaches & migraines

Headaches and migraines are often triggered or worsened by stress, muscle tension, injuries, sinus pressure and incorrect posture.  An Osteopath can help manage all of these issues.

When a patient comes to see us about their problem we would start by carrying out a full assessment. We will ask questions about the symptoms of the headache, your lifestyle, your medical history and your general health. Headaches can be a sign of more serious pathology needing urgent medical investigation.  The information we gather will assist in gaining a full picture of what your body is going through and what approach is best suitable for you.

A lot of headaches are found to be caused by musculoskeletal tension and/or postural issues stemming from the neck, these are termed cervicogenic headaches. Whiplash falls into this category as it can cause headache and well as pain extending down the arm and need careful treatment.  Both can be successfully treated by an osteopath.

For advice about your headache or migraine and to book an assessment please give us a call 01422 375541.
